The United States is now in Baghdad. I am amazed at the capabilities of our soldiers and the technology that we have.  I am amazed at how fast this war went.  I am amazed and thankful that there was not a lot of loss of life among all involved.

If the authors of the history books are to be correct in their writing of this war it will be told that this was not a war about oil.  This war was a war against a dictator and his regime, which allowed the senseless killing of his own people, the rape of children and women.   It will be written down as fact that this dictator, Saddam Hussein, tried to make WMD (Weapons of Mass Destruction), and biological weapons. History should show that America did all it could to avoid the war.  It should also show that we did all we could to avoid injury and death to the Iraqi soldiers and citizens.

In Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 Solomon writes that God has a direct hand in ALL events. King Solomon, even though he had his faults, asked God for wisdom and knowledge.  I believe our president has done the same.  President Bush is a Christian, who like King Solomon has faults.  But, our president made a wise choice in going to war. But I am sure that this view will not be documented in the history books, which are supported by the NEA (National Education Association).

Although there is still a lot of work to be done, the Coalition forces have basically won the war.  The Iraqis are not happy with us because there is looting going on, lack of food and water, and destruction.  But if the Iraqis want what is best for themselves, they will quit stealing and destroying property.  This is their country, not ours.  They need to take care of their country and each other.

First I want to thank God and Jesus Christ for directing our leaders during this war.

I want to say thank you to those who had a hand in this war.  I want to thank President Bush.  I supported his decision and prayed for wisdom, knowledge, and guidance for him.  Thank you Colin Powell for doing all you could to help others see why we needed to go to war.  Thank you for all your elegant words in describing who Saddam really was.  Thank you for advising the President.

Thank you Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfield.  You did a superior job in coordinating this war with General Franks and his staff.  You kept strong even during some great criticisms.  Even though I doubted at times, you always laid those doubts to rest.  Thank you General Franks.  Thank you for your dedication to America and your great planing.  You deserve your fifth star.  Thank you for bringing together a great staff.  Thank you to all the soldiers who are protecting our country here at home and are willing to go anywhere at anytime to keep our country free.

Lastly, and most important, I want to thank the soldiers who are in Iraq defending our freedom.  Thank you for going to Iraq to defend America from biological weapons and WMDs.  Thank you for putting your life on the line for the Iraqi people and us.  I always supported you and you are honorable.  Thank you for respecting your Commander in Chief.  Many did not.  Thank you for your love to your fellow man, brothers and sisters in the military, and this great country.  You are all honorable men and women. Some of you are half my age and I have the utmost respect for you and all your fellow soldiers.
From the bottom of my heart I want to thank you.

It is important that we remember those who lost their lives to defend this country.  It is important that we remember those who were injured in their fight for this country.  We need to pray for those who lost loved ones in this war.  We need to pray for the Iraqi people who lost loved ones.  We need to pray for Iraq and we need to keep praying for America.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!
